ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Natasha Asher was raised in a small rural community, which she frequently depicts in her writings. She attributes her love of literature to her mother. Natasha recalls the benefits of reading at a young age and she has fond memories of discovering the world through reading as a child; she knows first-hand how beneficial it is to spark up your imagination at an early age. Natasha has never remembered a moment when she wasn't avidly reading books or making up her own stories because she was born into a family of voracious readers.

“Reading is such an important part of childhood development, and my stories are designed to help young readers find the value of picture books and develop a lifelong enjoyment of books. I believe that reading should be inviting, warm and cozy – it should feel like home. My illustrations create familiar worlds for children to explore, to open their minds and let the characters come alive in their imaginations. Above all, I wish every family that reads my stories the gift of discovering something new in each book; whether it’s about life, nature, or friendship.
